Linnda Durre', Ph.D.,

 

is an award winning filmmaker, acting coach, script consultant, writer, director, producer, actor, lyricist, and licensed psychotherapist (FL LMHC #MH6058) with her Ph.D. in psychology.

 

She has been interviewed by Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Dramalogue, Backstage, Beverly Hills 213, and other entertainment publications.

When she was 22, she reportedly became the youngest woman at the time to join the Writers Guild of America (WGAw) when she sold a TV series to Aaron Spelling in three days through her legendary agent, Irving Salkow, who handled Ava Gardner, William Holden, and Marilyn Monroe.Linnda Durre'

 

She was twice a judge for  two “Best Writing” categories for cable TV’s ACE Awards before they were absorbed into the Emmys. She is a book editor as well as script consultant for TV, theater, and films, and has her own scripts with various award winning actors, producers, and production companies.  She has written and hosted for the Disney Channel.

 

She has produced and/or co-produced her three radio shows and her two TV shows; five short films, and a one-woman show for her friend Gretchen Van Aken, entitled, “Called Girl,” about Gretchen’s careers as a Broadway actress and an ordained minister.

 

Linnda Durre' applied and was accepted to Edward Albee’s Master Class in Playwriting from her play entry, “The Viewing,” which she adapted into a short film, and she also directed, cast, produced, and shot it in four days for about $4,000.  “The Viewing” was a finalist in The Best of Florida/Made in Florida Film Festival, an official entry at both the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) and the Delray Beach Film Festival, and it won two Crystal Reel Awards for Best Short Script and one for Best Supporting Actress for Sarah Benz Phillips from FMPTA – Florida Motion Picture and Television Association. “The Viewing” is available on Amazon for rental or purchase.

 

Dr. Durre’ has appeared on Oprah, 60 Minutes, The O’Reilly Factor, Canada AM, Good Morning America, The Today Show, Daytime, The Jerry Doyle Show, Fox 5 San Diego, and on Fox Orlando 50 times, as well as the national and/or local news and/or Internet news on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, CW, CNN, CBC, MSNBC, ESPN, Google News, Fox and many other outlets.

 

She has hosted and co-produced two TV shows, including the national cable show, “Ask the Family Therapist” on America’s Health Network (AHN), which was associated with the Mayo Clinic and which aired from Universal Studios Orlando. She was selected from 200 applicants in a national search. The other TV show was “Personal Success with Dr. Linnda Durre'," on a PBS affiliate.
